All scars are unique entities and leave a physical, emotional, and energetic imprint, but birth scars are even more so because they affect a very intimate and private sphere whose \"assault\" carries implications for motherhood that can accompany us for a long time.<\/p>

For many women, cesarean birth is a procedure that comes after long labors, often associated with urgency or emergency, an event linked to fear for both the babies being born and the mothers themselves. Besides the surgical aspect, which is undoubtedly significant, a large part of the trauma is emotional. We find fear, sadness, anger, frustration, guilt, and much more depending on the individual experience of each woman. Cesarean birth is discussed in terms of costs and statistics, but very little is said about women's emotions, which can sometimes be very positive, but in many cases, extremely traumatic. Regardless of the reason for the cesarean, this intervention interrupts the physiological process of labor and birth and can have various consequences on the bodies of women who give birth in this manner. Treating the scar with <\/span>harmonization allows dissociating the traumatic event itself from the scar<\/strong>, which is actually a <\/span>symbol that the body has been able to react and heal.<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The treatment, developed by French osteopath David Kanner, is of an energetic nature and can be used on all scars, not just obstetric ones (although I specialize more in those). The standard treatment consists of 3 sessions, but very often women report significant improvements even after a single session, both in terms of emotional well-being and the physical appearance and sensitivity of the scar itself. Scar treatment can be a beneficial practice for preparing for a new pregnancy following a cesarean birth. Scar harmonization is a non-manipulative treatment, so it is not a massage.<\/span><\/p>\n
